Office Visits
Welcome To Cox Chiropractic
Some quick information about our office and your experience as a patient at Cox Chiropractic:
We started our practice here in Barrington, Illinois in September of 1982.
Dr. Cox received his undergrad degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1978 and received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1982 from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa.
As well as maintaining a fulltime practice, Dr. Cox has been a staff member of the Gonstead Seminar of Chiropractic since 1982. In 1999, Dr. Cox purchased the Gonstead Seminar and continues to teach as well as direct a management staff of 3 along with a teaching staff of 11 instructors specializing in the Gonstead System of Chiropractic care. (For more information on Gonstead and the Seminar visit www.gonsteadseminar.com ).
We mention this because the Gonstead Seminars are presented 10 times each year both here in the U.S. and around the world and Dr. Cox will be away from the office for a long weekend roughly once a month. You can pick up a schedule at our front desk or check the seminar dates on the Gonstead Seminar web site.
On your first visit to Cox Chiropractic:
You will fill out a Case History Report.
You will receive a Consultation concerning your health issues.
A Chiropractic examination will be performed.
X-rays will be taken in our office if necessary.
Complete explanation of all findings from your examination and X-rays will be given.
On your first visit Dr. Cox will tell you whether or not he feels he can help you. If he feels that Gonstead Chiropractic care is not the answer for your health concerns, you will be given our best referrals in the Chicagoland area.
If Dr. Cox feels that Gonstead Chiropractic can help you, your care will begin on your first visit.
It is our goal to get you back on the road to health as quickly as possible with no predetermined number of future office visits. If Cox Chiropractic can get you back to health in three or four visits, it will be up to you to decide when you need to return. Following initial care, Dr. Cox has some patients that return for a periodic “tune-up” once a month, others once every two to three months and many patients that are seen only a few times a year or every other year. It will be up to you, your lifestyle and your health goals.
Cox Chiropractic is a BlueCross/Blue Shield provider
We will submit to Medicare on behalf of the patient, however, the patient will pay Cox Chiropractic at the time of each visit. Medicare, and any secondary insurance companies, will reimburse the patient directly.
We offer a chiropractic care card, whereby the patient pays for 5 visitis and receives 6.
